Patience & Will Power to Use a Controlled Diet That Is Easy With Healthy Food - Food

Patience and will power

Everyone wants to live a long and happy life but there are a number of things that can get in the way. Years ago people didn't think twice about smoking, drinking and eating lots but as the years have progressed so has our knowledge of the human body and the abuse we put it through. We are now, more than ever, aware of how we look and how it makes us look in public. No one wants to walk down the street and have people staring and pointing because you're overweight. We'd rather people stared and pointed because we're thin and fit. It's a dream for a lot of people. Watching TV actors and actresses looking their best is something we can only dream of being like. My question is, why do we think that just because they're on TV they have some sort of secret formula for keeping the weight off and keeping themselves looking thin? Of course they can afford a lot more than we can but a healthy diet doesn't have to cost you an arm or a leg. It would cost you no more than your normal weeks shopping. So why don't we do it?Most of us don't have the will power. It's as simple as that. We can promise ourselves that we'll really make a go of it. We're determined. I mean, we even have the audacity to call it a 'new year's resolution' as if giving it this label will make it easier to do. It doesn't matter what you call it and you don't have to wait until New Year to give it a fancy name so as to excuse yourself from doing it earlier in the year. I know it's difficult when you're used to eating junk food. The problem is, junk food tastes so much better than healthy food and if we're being totally honest, healthy food can get a little boring after a while. Why eat leaves when you can have a chocolate covered fresh cream bun? Even sounds better doesn't it? Of course it does. You can make your healthy food interesting and tasty at the same time. There are many recipes out there to help you achieve that. Putting on weight is easy. Getting it off is hard but it's whe re you have to have patience. You didn't put the weight on overnight and you sure as hell won't take it off overnight. Most overweight people give up a diet or healthy eating just because it takes too long to get a result. The time you feel yourself giving up is the time to push on. You'll get there eventually. Many have done it before you. If they can, you can. The only person who says you can't is you.
